Many of you know me as the pageant gal.  I eat healthy, work out, and make sure that I am polished from the top of my head to the tips of my toes.  The question I get asked the most is, How do you resist all of the foods that your family eats around you?  or You're at this party and not eating that cake?  While it is hard, I always have a few tricks up my sleeve to ensure that I don't become a raging chocoholic!  Every morning I have my coffee, and as God is my witness, I put flavored creamer in there.  It is the one thing that my trainer will never be able to take from me.  It will be over my dead body.  My personal favorite is International Delight's Southern Butter Pecan!  I sip on those two cups of coffee for the entirety of my morning... along with my water of course!  Another way to avoid eating the entire wedding cake before the bride has cut it is to always have water with you.  Did you know that if you stay hydrated with water, not coke because those further dehydrate you, you're less likely to overeat.  I drink over a gallon of water today.  With that being said, I eat six times a day.  I cook my meals in advance to keep me from veering off and just grabbing something quick.

Now for an etiquette lesson... when you see someone who is small framed, please refrain from telling them that you just want to feed them.  It hurts our feelings.  For one, I wear long sleeves and pants to work daily.  My body is predominantly muscle and toned.  I weigh more than you think I do.  Do not put a cupcake in my box and in my box only.  I would never put a salad in yours'.

Peach Salsa (for when you are sick and tired of just plain chicken or when your kids say... Chicken again???).  If you have the privilege of having a fruit stand or small farmers market in your hometown... I'd go there!  For one, you might get it for less than your supermarket, and two you just can't beat the hospitality!
You'll need:
4 small peaches, peeled and diced
Juice of 2 limes
2 teaspoons honey.  You may want to reduce for personal taste
2  tablespoons diced red bell pepper
1 tablespoon finely minced jalapeno pepper, (If you want more kick... add another teaspoon!)
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1 small clove garlic, finely minced (I find it much easier to buy it already minced in a jar!)
2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion or sweet onion (You're taste preference!)
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and serve it up!  Don't tell the men until after they've eaten it all!
